Charlie started his career alongside Scott in 2013. While still involved with macro investment decisions, Charlie utilizes his vast knowledge to specialize in financial planning and the long-term direction of the firm. Charlie earned his CFP® certification in 2022 and through the process has taken up an interest in charitable gifting strategies, the estate planning process, and the importance of a comprehensive view to a client's financial life. Charlie has been committed to expansion in the "alternative" or "private" investment landscape in order to meet the rapid demand growth from our clients in the space. In this business, Charlie feels most satisfaction at work connecting with business relationships, collaborating with coworkers, and bringing his network together to grow and prosper where opportunities lie.Â
Personal Bio
Charlie grew up in Dallas and was raised by Scott (our company President) and Paula alongside his sister Mary Catherine. After attending Texas A&M University, Charlie came right back to work with Scott. He will admit his life is rather dull, not having been anywhere but Dallas or College Station... In 2016, Charlie married his longtime friend from high school, Katie. It took Charlie 9 years to get Katie to notice him but they finally started dating after college while Katie lived in Houston. Katie and Charlie have three kids, Molly (2019), Scottie (2022) and Ellie (2024). They are very involved in their kids' school, Hyer Elementary, and their church, Park Cities Baptist Church. Charlie enjoys cheering for his Aggies and Dallas sports teams. If he only had one day to himself, you would find him on the golf course or fishing in the Montana mountains.Â
